Spotters Report Tornado on the Ground in Central Mississippi

Spotters report a tornado on the ground near Pelahatchie in Rankin County, just north of I-20, in Mississippi.

A tornado warning continues for portions of Rankin and Scott Counties in Central Mississippi.

There is concern that the storms over Central Mississippi will be able to work into West Central Alabama later this evening, perhaps before 11 p.m. with a threat for widespread damaging winds, large hail, and a few tornadoes.
