Numerous Water Rescues Going on Across Birmingham and Tuscaloosa Areas

Scene of a mudslide caused by flooding Tuscaloosa tonight

John Talbot reports that public safety resources are being stretched severely across the Birmingham Metro area with numerous water rescues being undertaken in several communities. FLooding is severe in Tuscaloosa with home in homes and at least one report of a person being swept away by floodwaters.

Please, please, please stay off the roads tonight and in a safe place. If your home is prone to flooding or you see flooding occurring, move to higher ground.

Pay close attention to flash flood warnings tonight. This is a very dangerous situation with life-threatening flooding ongoing.
