* Until 430 PM CDT.
* At 239 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Areas of heavy
rainfall are expected to continue over the next hour, or so.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Chelsea, Indian
Springs Village, Westover, Fowler Lake, Highland Lakes, Mount
Laurel, Greystone, Brook Highland, Meadowbrook, Lake Purdy,
Inverness, The Summit, Cahaba Heights, Oak Mountain State Park,
Shoal Creek and Hoover Veterans Park.

thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen onto already wet ground. Continued rainfall is expected
over the next hour, or so.
