The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
East Central Jefferson County in central Alabama…

* Until 530 PM CDT.

* At 330 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Northeastern Birmingham, Gardendale, Irondale, Fultondale, Center
Point, Tarrant, Birmingham Airport, Ketona Lakes, Kingston,
Grayson Valley, Danville, Ruffner Mountain and Birmingham Race
Course.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
