The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Pickens County in west central Alabama…
Lamar County in west central Alabama…

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 308 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near West Point to 8 miles east of Gholson, moving
northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Aliceville, Vernon, Sulligent, Gordo, Reform, Millport, Carrollton,
Pickensville, Kennedy, Detroit, Beaverton, Ethelsville, McMullen,
Benevola, Johnston Lake, Bevill Lock And Dam, Garden, Blooming
Grove, Lamar County Airport and Crews.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for northwestern
and west central Alabama.

building.
