Alabama Update at 9 p.m

Here is the radar just before 9 p.m.

A few reports from North Alabama…

Sleet is reported in Skyline as of 839 pm. It was snowing earlier.

At 8:24 pm, a snow accumulation of 1.0 inches was reported near Underwood Petersville, AL in Lauderdale County.

Huntsville Utilities reports mderate mixed precip and objects are beginning to freeze in Meridianville, just N of Oscar Patterson/Moores Mill Rd.Surface temp at 29.8F.

Natchez Trace bridge already iced over in Cherokee County as well as icy spots on roads near Cherokee in western Colbert County.

Limestone County EMA reports in the area of 127 and Happy Hollow north bound and bridge is iced over.

Snow is covering the ground in Killen and Florence according to Danielle Dozier at WHNT.

Snow estimated 3 inches at Waterloo in Lauderdale County.

REST OF TONIGHT
The forecast seems to be on track. The Arctic airmass should begin to ooze to the south during the afternoon and the freezing rain will come with it.
