Severe T-storm Warning for Parts of Lauderdale & Colbert Co. Until 8:15pm

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central Lauderdale County and Central Colbert County in northwestern Alabama until 8:15 PM CDT.

At 7:49 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was identified near Tuscumbia, moving northeast at 55 mph. The storm brings hazards of 60-65 mph wind gusts and nickel-sized hail, as indicated by radar.

Residents in Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Killen, Cherokee, Lexington, St. Florian, Underwood-Petersville, and Green Hill should take immediate precautions. Expect potential damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
