EXPIRED Severe T-Storm Warning — Parts of Cullman, DeKalb, Jackson, Marshall, Morgan Co. Until 4:15 am

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Marshall County in northeastern Alabama, South central Jackson County in northeastern Alabama, Southwestern DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama, Northeastern Cullman County in north central Alabama, and Southeastern Morgan County in north central Alabama. This warning is in effect until 4:15 AM CDT.

At 3:27 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles east of Falkville, or 12 miles southeast of Hartselle, moving east at 55 mph. The hazard includes 60 mph wind gusts and penny-size hail. Radar indicated the source of this storm and the impact is expected to cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Albertville, Cullman, Scottsboro, Boaz, Guntersville, Arab, Good Hope, Crossville, Grant, and Geraldine.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
Remain alert for a possible tornado as tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms.
If you spot a tornado, go at once into the basement or a small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 8:00 AM CDT for north central, northeastern, and northwestern Alabama.
