EXPIRED Tornado Warning — Parts of Cullman, DeKalb, Jackson, Marshall, Morgan Co. Until 4:15 am

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a Tornado Warning for Central Marshall County in northeastern Alabama, Northeastern Cullman County in north central Alabama, and Southeastern Morgan County in north central Alabama. This warning is in effect until 4:00 AM CDT.

At 3:30 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 9 miles east of Falkville, or 12 miles east of Hartselle, moving southeast at 50 mph. The hazard includes a tornado with radar indicated rotation. The impact of this storm is expected to bring flying debris that will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed, and damage to roofs, windows, vehicles, and trees is likely.

This dangerous storm is forecasted to be near Arab around 3:40 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include High Point, Baileyton, Horton, Hulaco, Cole Springs, Eva, Douglas, Eddy, Ryan Crossroads, and Joppa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
Take cover now! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
Avoid windows and if you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter.
Protect yourself from flying debris.
