Elmore, Tallapoosa, And Chambers Counties Upgraded To a Winter Storm Warning

Moments ago, the National Weather Service upgraded Elmore, Tallapoosa, and Chambers counties to a winter storm warning. Here are the latest details on this upgrade from NWS:

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches.

* WHERE...Chambers, Elmore, and Tallapoosa Counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
  conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday
  evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
