SPC Monitoring The Severe Weather Risk For Today; New Mesoscale Discussion Issued
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a mesoscale discussion for a decent portion of central Alabama. They are monitoring the risk of a few isolated strong to possibly severe storms this morning into the afternoon. The main concern, as we have previously mentioned, is small to medium sized hail. In the strongest storms, strong winds and hail up to quarter size will be possible.
Continue to monitor the forecast throughout the day for updates as they are needed.
