Early Afternoon in Alabama

Radar shows that most of the Alabama precipitation has spread into NE and East Alabama. You could draw a line from just east of Huntsville to just east of Birmingham and to near Montgomery and most of it was east of that line and extending over to the Georgia border. The precipitation was moving toward the ESE.

Radar in the winter mosaic shows that the wintry precipitation has decreased in area to extreme SE Tennessee, but we must throw in a note of caution because it is not 100% accurate and there could be some light snow stilll in progress, especially on the highlands and ridges of NE Alabama, such as Sand Mountain and Lookout Mountain.

If you don’t like this late season intrusion of cold air, take heart, we should be well in the 60s by tomorrow afternoon and in the 70s Wednesday and Thursday.
