Alabama Weather Update: Strong Storms Ongoing Over Northern Alabama
Clusters of strong to severe thunderstorms have been ongoing over northern Alabama early this afternoon. Some of these storms have been producing large hail and strong to occasionally damaging wind gusts as well as frequent lightning.
As we go through the course of the afternoon, we expect additional thunderstorms to form, and some of those could also turn severe, again with the main threat being damaging winds and large hail. The tornado threat is very low.
