Severe T-Storm Warning for Cullman, Lawrence, Madison, Marshall, Morgan Co. Until 5:15PM
A severe thunderstorm is on the move through north central Alabama, and the National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Marshall County, southern Madison County, Cullman County, Morgan County, and southeastern Lawrence County.
This warning will remain in effect until 5:15 PM, and as of 4:14 PM, the storm was located near Falkville or just west of Hartselle, moving east at about 45 miles per hour.
This storm is packing 60 mile per hour wind gusts and quarter-size hail. That’s enough to cause some damage to vehicles, roofs, siding, and trees, so if you’re in the path of this storm, take precautions now.
If you’re in or around areas like Cullman, Hartselle, Falkville, Priceville, Battleground, or High Point, it’s time to head to an interior room on the lowest level of a building. This storm is moving quickly, so don’t wait until it gets on top of you.
We’ll continue to monitor this storm and provide updates as needed. Stay weather aware and safe!
