Severe Thunderstorm Watch Expanded in Area Until 8 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has updated the Severe Thunderstorm Watch, now including additional areas. This watch has been expanded to include Bibb, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Marengo, Perry, Shelby, Talladega, and continues for Blount, Etowah, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, St. Clair, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston counties in Alabama. The watch will remain in effect until 8:00 PM CDT.

Stay alert and be prepared to take action if a severe thunderstorm warning is issued for your area.
