Severe T-Storm Warning for DeKalb Co. Until 6:45PM

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for DeKalb County in northeast Alabama until 6:45 p.m. At 5:41 p.m., a strong storm was located near Fyffe, moving east at 30 miles per hour. This storm is capable of producing quarter size hail and wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour. Radar indicates this activity, and damage to roofs, siding, trees, and vehicles is possible. Areas that could be impacted include Fort Payne, Geraldine, Dog Town, Little River Canyon National Preserve, and surrounding communities. Folks in the path of this storm should move to a safe place inside, ideally an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
