Severe T-Storm Warning for Bibb, Hale, Perry Co. Until 6:45PM

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northern Perry County, Hale County, and southern Bibb County in central and west-central Alabama, and it will remain in effect until 6:45 p.m. At 5:44 p.m., a strong storm was located about 7 miles north of Greensboro, moving to the northeast at 30 miles per hour. Radar indicates the storm is capable of producing quarter size hail and wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour. This could result in damage to vehicles, as well as roofs, siding, and trees. Communities in the path of this storm include Marion, Brent, Greensboro, Randolph, Sawyerville, and areas around the Talladega National Forest. Folks in the warned area should take cover now in an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
