Tornado Warning: Colbert, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Morgan Counties until 6:15 PM CDT

At 5:36 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Muscle Shoals, moving east at 45 mph. This storm may produce a tornado and quarter size hail. Radar has indicated rotation with this storm.

Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles is likely. Tree damage is also expected.

This dangerous storm will impact Muscle Shoals and Leighton around 5:40 PM CDT, Town Creek around 5:50 PM CDT, and Courtland around 5:55 PM CDT. Other locations in the path include Northwest Alabama Regional Airport, Coxey, Oliver, Hillsboro, Red Bank, Caddo, Wheeler, Whiteoak, North Courtland, and Ripley.

Take cover now. Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
