Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Eastern Lowndes and Southwestern Montgomery Counties Until 4:30 PM CDT

At 3:50 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Hayneville, moving east at 10 miles per hour. This storm is capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and quarter size hail.

Hail may damage vehicles, and strong winds could cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations in the path of this storm include southwestern parts of Montgomery, Mosses, Hayneville, Gordonville, Lowndesboro, Hyundai Motors of Alabama, Beechwood, Strata, Hope Hull, Dannelly Field, Snowdoun, Sprague, Sellers, Davenport, Pintlala, Calhoun, Manack, and Letohatchee.

Take shelter now in an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.

This storm is also producing frequent lightning and heavy rainfall, which may cause flash flooding. Stay indoors and never drive through flooded roadways.
