Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Sumter County Until 4:45 PM CDT

At 4:03 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Panola, or about 19 miles southwest of Aliceville, moving east at 15 miles per hour. This storm is capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and quarter size hail.

Expect hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Areas affected by this storm include Gainesville and Geiger.

Take shelter now in an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
