Updated Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 7 PM CDT — Changes in Effect

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has updated Severe Thunderstorm Watch 347.

Cancelled counties: Clay, Coosa, and Randolph are no longer included in the watch area.

New counties added: Barbour and Pike have been added to the watch.

Counties remaining in the watch: Bullock, Chambers, Elmore, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Russell, and Tallapoosa.

This watch remains in effect until 7:00 PM CDT. The potential continues for damaging wind gusts and hail in and near the watch area. Remain weather aware and be prepared to take shelter if a warning is issued for your location.
