The Alabama News Center — University of Alabama unveils new collegiate license plate

The University of Alabama’s vehicle tag features a new look this week as the classic Vault A Alabama logo makes a comeback on the collegiate license plate.

Net proceeds from the license plate program provide scholarships to Alabama resident students. During fiscal 2024-2025, more than 120,000 UA vehicle and motorcycle tags were sold in Alabama, contributing $5.2 million toward undergraduate and graduate scholarships.

“The new design is a great way for alumni and friends to show their school spirit while helping students reach their goals,” said Jimmy Warren, executive director of the UA National Alumni Association.
