Severe Storm Warning for Greene and Hale Counties Until 5:15 AM

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for southeastern Greene and all of Hale County in west-central Alabama until 5:15 AM CDT.

At 4:23 AM, radar showed a strong storm near Forkland, moving east at 35 mph.

This storm may produce wind gusts up to 60 mph and quarter-size hail.

Areas that may be impacted include Eutaw, Greensboro, Forkland, Newbern, and surrounding rural communities.

Expect damaging winds, possible hail damage to vehicles, and heavy rainfall. Take shelter in a sturdy building away from windows.
