Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Chambers County Until 6:00 AM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Chambers County in east central Alabama until 6:00 AM CDT.

At 5:19 AM, a severe thunderstorm was located over Buffalo, near Lafayette, moving east at 40 mph.

This storm may produce wind gusts up to 60 mph.

Radar indicates the potential for damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations in the path include Valley, Lanett, Lafayette, La Fayette, Five Points, Cusseta, Standing Rock, Buffalo, and Chambers County Lake.

If you are in the warning area, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
