Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Perry County

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Perry County until 3:30 PM CDT.

At 2:44 PM CDT, a severe storm was located near Vaiden or near Marion, moving northeast at 40 mph.

This storm is capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph, which could cause damage to roofs, trees, and siding.

Locations in the path include Marion, Uniontown, Vaiden, Judson College, Perry County Correctional Center, Oakmulgee, and Sprott.

Residents should take shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor.

Stay away from windows and avoid driving into storm-damaged areas.
