Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Calhoun and Cleburne Counties

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Calhoun and Cleburne counties until 4:15 PM CDT.

At 3:04 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over the Talladega Superspeedway area, moving northeast at 35 mph.

The storm is producing wind gusts up to 60 mph.

These winds could lead to damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Areas likely to be impacted include Anniston, Oxford, Jacksonville, Piedmont, Heflin, Weaver, Glencoe, and Jacksonville State University.

Residents in the path of the storm should move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.

Avoid windows and do not drive into areas with storm debris.
