Flood Advisory for Parts of Jefferson Co. Until 8PM

| June 21, 2025 @ 4:57 pm

A Flood Advisory is in effect for Jefferson County in Central Alabama until 8 PM CDT this evening. Thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall are leading to urban and small stream flooding across the area. Water is covering roadways and filling low-lying or poor drainage spots, especially in areas like Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, and the UAB campus.

Radar detected these storms around 4:54 PM, and the rainfall is expected to continue in localized areas. Use caution if you’re out—never drive across a flooded road. Turn around, don’t drown.
