REST OF THE WEEK: We say this often, but we really mean it this week. Weather like this makes our job very simple. Ridging aloft will keep us warm and dry through the rest of the week, with sunny days and clear nights. Afternoon highs will remain mostly in the 80 to 85 degree range, with lows in the 50s. Low level moisture will increase a tad by Friday, but with no upward velocity we will keep our forecast dry.
THE WEEKEND: The 12Z GFS continues to idea of a surface cold front passing through here on Saturday, with a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm. No all day rain, no wash-out, but just keep in mind a shower or two is a possibility. Sunday will be mostly sunny and less humid as cooler air filters in behind the front. The high Saturday will be in the mid 70s, followed by low 70s on Sunday.
LONG RANGE: While there is still no sign of any serious severe weather setup through the rest of April, it does look like the pattern will be come more active with a southwest flow becoming established during the last week of the month, with one or two decent rain events possible.
WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes.
