| November 5, 2010 @ 12:17 pm | 16 Replies

Widely scattered showers continue to develop in the unstable air over Alabama. The atmosphere is very cold, and we have received reports of ice pellets in the Birmingham metro area within the hour.

We have have reports of a few snow flakes from Blount and Cullman Counties. The best chance of snow flakes will remain across the high terrain of Jackson, Marshall, Cherokee, and DeKalb Counties.
