Here are some reports from across the northern half of Alabama… mostly from Twitter and Facebook…

*@duckfetchr: sleet pellets and heavy wet snowflakes in Mentone #alwx

*Off and on rain and a few sleet pellets… and cold in Gadsden area #alwx Phil Swindall

*Rain/sleet mix currently falling in Maylene – mostly sleet. #alwx

*A batch of rain mixed with either sleet or small hail passed thru Clanton a few minutes ago. #alwx

*#alwx Another burst of snow flakes and sleet at Cheaha. Maybe if it lasts for a week we’d get a dusting! Alabama where weather is wild!!

*@spann sleet coming down on Green Springs #alwx

*@spann Just had heavy sleet about 30 minutes ago in the Homewood area!

*A lot of sleet just fell on country club mtn. in Gadsden @spann

*spitting a few very tiny flurries here in the Nances Creek area..

*Just had a pretty good ‘sleet shower’ here in Wellington, was actually bouncing around in the front yard.
