Early on Sunday

Almost all of Alabama is under a Winter Storm Warning based on wintry precipitation that will start later today. You can scroll down to get details on that. The purpose of this post is to give some current conditions.

The low pressure area continues to develop along the South Texas-Mexico border. It will move eastward across the North Gulf of Mexico very much on track as earlier forecast and spreading moisture inland.

Rain was breaking out over much of South Texas, even some heavy rain in some areas. A few South Texas stations were reporting thunderstorms.

Here in Alabama, it is even colder than expected especially over the north. Here is a sampling of current temperatures in Alabama and nearby areas:
