CURRENT SITUATION: Work crews from Talladega City Water and Sewer continue to investigate the cause of the current incident. During this time, residents will experience low water pressure, or complete water outage, until the situation can be corrected. Residents who have complete water outage are encouraged to use the emergency water distribution site mentioned below. Residents who are currently experiencing low water pressure are advised to boil their drinking water prior to using. This should be continued until the water pressure returns to normal or an all clear has been given by the City of Talladega.

Please bring your ID (driver’s license, recent City of Talladega water bill). For the safety of the workers and volunteers on site, please have this information ready upon entering the distribution line, be aware of individuals giving directions and do not be talking on cell phones or other communication devises until you have exited the location.

A CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: The EMA is continuing to coordinate volunteers to help with water distribution. Anyone wishing to volunteer, please report to the EMA office at 26715 Alabama Highway 21 South. Volunteers must sign up and receive volunteer credentials before being allowed to assist. No registration will be taken over the phone. All volunteers must report to the EMA in person.
