Western Coosa Getting Rocked

| June 16, 2011 @ 9:50 pm | Reply

Strong storms over western Coosa County are not severe right now…but they are packing quite a punch with intense lightning and torrential rains…probably strong winds as well and maybe some hail.

They cover the western half of the county…west of US-231. Some of the heaviest activity is just west of Rockford right now.

Look for storms to the north between Montevallo and Columbiana to intensify as an outflow boundary energizes them.
