Emily Back on the Boards…and an Alabama Update
The frontal boundary we have been tracking has pushed into South Central Alabama this afternoon, taking the bulk of the shower/thunderstorm activity with it.
I think the rest of the night will be mainly dry, although we can’t rule out a stray shower.
Air Force reconnaissance found that the remnants of Emmily had regenerated into a tropical depression this afternoon so advisories have been reinstated. It is not expected to threaten the U.S., although it probably will regain tropical storm status.
