“Sorry for the delay in updating on Irene here in Puerto Plata. Things got pretty intense here around 1 am. Howling LOUD wind and heavy rain. We lost power around 3:30 am and regained it around noon today. We had hoped to send video footage and pics from the night but it’s just too dark to make out what’s going on.

We went out today to survey damage. There were a few trees down, ripped up billboards and a lot of limps and debris but no major damage. We are grateful. Here are a few pics from today.”
