Storms Over Mississippi

The line of storms over Mississippi is hanging in there at mid-morning. Logic would suggest these storms will fizzle out as they try and move into Alabama due to the very dry low level air in place here, but so far the weakening trend hasn’t happened. Looks like we could very well have some rain over West Alabama in about 60-90 minutes.

Needless to say, everybody at Talladega is watching this with great interest with the big race at the Superspeedway this afternoon… I still believe the weather will stay dry over East Alabama, but we will keep a close eye on radar trends since, as long time readers know, when it comes to thunderstorms, expect the unexpected…
