Morning Update

The weather is relatively quiet across Alabama this morning… although showers have moved into the northwest counties of the state.

We note that SRH (storm relative helicity) values are increasing over Northwest Alabama, so as the air becomes more unstable later today, we still see some risk for isolated tornadoes this afternoon. The most significant risk, however, is from damaging straight line winds along the squall line tonight…
