Showers Weakening and Pushing East

| February 4, 2012 @ 8:17 pm

The showers have held together longer and better than expected tonight.  They may actually make it into Georgia before weakening completely.

A little after 8, they extend from Cherokee through Calhoun/Cleburne, into Talladega/Clay/Randolph Counties, into Coosa, Tallapoosa and Chambers Counties.

Moderate rain extends about 70-80 miles behind the main activity.

Skies are mostly cloudy back into northern Mississippi.  They may be slow to clear on Sunday.

Overnight lows will be in the middle 50s over Central Alabama.  Northwestern sections will be closer to 50F.
