Reports From Northwest Alabama

* NWS, Huntsville continues a Flash Flood Warning for South Lawrence County until 7 pm. Two to three inches of rain fell this afternoon between Mount Hope and the Bankhead National Forest.

* At 3:27 pm, large hail, the size of quarters, fell north of Mount Hope, in Lawrence County.

* Hail 13/4th inches in diameter (translation: golf balls) occurred east-northeast of Town Creek, Lawrence County, just before 5 pm.

* Quarter size hail occurred east of Town Creek

Storms over that part of Northwest Alabama have weakened considerably.
