Discussion Update

| March 30, 2012 @ 7:56 am

While James is traveling to Iowa, I am traveling locally. I am setting up weather operations for the Honda Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park in the Leeds, AL, area. Rain gauge is currently set on the roof of the control building in anticipation of rain later today.

I will be posting a discussion in a little while – probably around 9 am or so. But as James has already noted, we are in for a bit of a wet, cloudy day thanks to a weak upper low over the Lower Mississippi River Valley. This slow moving low promises lots of clouds which will keep afternoon temperatures down a bit plus enhanced lift to provide an environment for numerous showers and thunderstorms.

Depending on the movement of this upper low/trough, we could see a very nice weekend.

I’ll have more in a little while as soon as I can get all of the operations here set up properly.
