Light Showers

Scattered light showers were in progress over about the north third of Alabama at mid-morning.

At 9:25 am, they extended from about the Tuscaloosa-Birmingham area northward. A lot of this may not be reaching the ground.

Muscle Shoals Airport was reporting light rain.

Everything moving almost due east. Some heavier showers in Tennessee.

USA extremes in the last 24 hours: 96 yesterday in Laredo, 17 below zero this morning at Stanley, Idaho, in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains and 24 below at Nuiqsut, Alaska.
