Chilly Air Moving In !

| October 6, 2012 @ 5:12 pm

Chilly air is moving into Alabama late this afternoon. Across the state, temperatures ranged from 86 at Dothan to 62 at Muscle Shoals. Back in West Tennessee, the air was registering the lower 50s at places like Memphis and Dyersburg.

A small line of showers had developed from just east of Florence southwestward to Hamilton and back into Mississippi near Starkville. Some lightning was showing up on the lightning detection network between West Point and Aberdeen, MS. Otherwise radar indicated primarily moderate rain. Looks like the rain threat will be primarily north of a line from Tuscaloosa to Childersburg.

Tomorrow morning most locations should be well down in the 40s, mid 40s for the low in Birmingham. That means some of those colder locations could push the upper 30s very hard.

We should see some sun tomorrow but there will be a good deal of clouds, too. This could keep temperatures a tad cooler.

Ah, Fall! I just love this time of year!!
