Alabama 811 | Know What's Below.

Evening Update…

| October 6, 2012 @ 7:17 pm

Heavy rains, gusty winds and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning across western Jefferson County.

A few showers and a lone thunderstorm are moving across Central Alabama. The thunderstorm should be impacting the Birmingham Metro by about 8 PM. This activity will continue to push east during the overnight hours, but should be out of the area and not affect the race tomorrow out at Talladega.

Looking at the surface temperature analysis below, the front is obviously stretched across the central portions of Alabama as evident of the temperature gradient across the state map. The front is bringing much cooler and drier conditions across the state for the next few days.
