Talladega Weather Update

| October 7, 2012 @ 7:35 am

For NASCAR fans at the Talladega Superspeedway…. this will be a cool race day with temperatures struggling to reach the low 60s this afternoon. Early morning visible satellite images show low clouds over all of East Alabama…

The sun might peek out at times, but the day will be generally gray.

A look at radar shows a little light rain in spots over North Alabama…

A little light rain is possible around the track this morning, but nothing really widespread.

For the running of the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 today (start time shortly after 1:00)… the sky will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 58-61 degree range. While rain is not likely, I can’t totally rule out a sprinkle or two. A chilly north breeze (7-14 mph) will continue.

Don’t think we will have any heat illness today!
