Drought Conditions Improving

| February 23, 2013 @ 1:32 pm

It has been an active and wet weather pattern for much of the winter across Alabama, and this pattern looks to continue. Good thing about all the wet weather is that it is continuing to improve the drought conditions across Alabama. This drought report  is from earlier this week and actually the portions of the state that have had the most rain since this report came out has been the drier sections. Parts of Randolph, Tallapoosa and much of Chambers county were still reporting severe drought conditions and farther south in Henry and Dale Counties this was still the case too. Many areas across southern Alabama have received several inches of rain this week, and I’d like to see if and by how much these conditions may have improved across southeastern Alabama. For the rest of the state, many areas are running several inches ahead on rainfall for this year and drought conditions are non-existent.
