High Winds Pushing into Birmingham Metro

| February 25, 2013 @ 10:16 pm

A large mass of rain and embedded thunder is pushing east northeastward across the middle part of Alabama tonight from Tuscaloosa and Birmingham southeastward.

As advertised, strong winds are occurring behind the rain area, the result of a wake low or gravity wave.

These winds are moving into the Birmingham area now.

Expect winds of up to 45 mph as the wave/low passes through.
