Temperatures are generally in the 50s across Alabama… a good 20 degrees below average for April 19.

FROST ADVISORY: NWS offices in Huntsville and Birmingham have issued a frost advisory for these counties for late tonight and early tomorrow… Marion, Winston, Cullman, Blount, Etowah, Cherokee, Franklin, Lauderdale, Colbert, Limestone, Lawrence, Madison, Marshall, and Jackson. Temperatures in these counties will dip into the mid 30s, with potential for some scattered, light frost. Some of the colder cities in these counties might even move down toward the freezing mark.

Elsewhere, lows will be in the mid to upper 30s, and we could see a touch of light frost as far south as I-20, but the frost will be very light and spotty.

SUNNY WEEKEND: Expect sunshine in full supply over the weekend; the high tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 60s, followed by low 70s Sunday. Humidity levels will be low.

NEXT WEEK: The next round of rain and storms will move into Alabama late Tuesday night and into Wednesday; there could be some strong storms involved, but for now the severe weather risk looks low. See the morning Weather Xtreme video for more details.
