Strong Storms in Birmingham Metro
Over the last few minutes, several strong storms have developed across Jefferson County and the metro area. Across the western part of the county, storms are impacting areas along the Warrior River, in around Oak Grove, Sylvan Springs and Hueytown.
There is a strong thunderstorms just north of downtown Birmingham impacting areas around Tarrant, Fultondale, and Gardendale.
In the northeastern parts of county, Pinson and Clay are seeing a strong thunderstorm.
Storms this afternoon, just like we have all seen recently are producing dangerous and frequent lightning, torrential rainfall as well as gusty winds and possibly some hail. As storms develop they are moving off to the north.
