Heavy Rain in the Birmingham Metro
Another day with heavy rainfall again. This early afternoon showers and thunderstorms continue to develop and move east-southeast across the state.
Currently, intense rain is falling through out portions of Birmingham, including downtown as well as Fairfield, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Irondale and Trussville. A large rain mass is off to our northwest and will continue to move in our direction as well.
It is shaping up to be a rather wet afternoon across Alabama. We will have to monitor the threat for flash flooding today as these showers and storms are dropping a lot of rainfall.
