Rain Remains in the Forecast
The next 72 hours look as though that additional rainfall is in the forecast for all of Alabama. The QPF outlooks show that most of Alabama will see an additional inch of rain the next 3 days.
Daily scattered afternoon showers and storms will be the main culprits for this additional rainfall. Of course some areas could certainly see several inches of rain if caught under some of the more intense storms each afternoon. The wet weather will not be confined to Alabama alone, as many areas across the Southeast and Tennessee Valley will be wet.
The rainfall will add to the surplus that most areas across Central Alabama already have so far this year. There is quite a range in the surplus depending on your location. Here are some of the numbers across Central Alabama: Anniston has a surplus of 21.60”, Birmingham 16.44”, Tuscaloosa 2.47”, and Montgomery 6.92”.
